Goodbye TRN, Hello World!

My apologies to the many who have asked, simply, ‘where is your show? What station? What city.” TRN apparently allowed what stations they were able to put our show on to simply cast the show aside as we got closer to the end of our deal and put in its place….whatever…without any word to listeners or me. Some stations are still carrying our logo and listing a time the show airs on their websites but aren’t running it. The overall maintenance of our show by TRN was astonishingly bad.

Anyway, I can assure all of you we will keep you in the loop daily as to where we will be following the 24th of June. Until then watch each videocast pre-show for daily updates on where the Phil Hendrie Show is headed to next. Thank you all. This has been the most trying time of my professional life. Great karma to get rid of but it’ll make you old. However, I’m excited for our one man show, the active prospects in the works for the radio show, our animation projects which you will love and a lot more. We never quit because there’s too much shit to laugh at…. We are MSNBC……or if you insist, the Phil Hendrie Show

Next Saturday night Doug Dannger, gay man and gay journalist, debuts as host of the Saturday Night Movies!

The Stranger, directed by Orson Welles…An investigator from the War Crimes Commission travels to Connecticut to find an infamous Nazi. “Birth of a Nation”….DW Griffiths expansive and groundbreaking silent epic with a decidedly racist take on American history.

By the way check out the use of white actors in blackface to play some of the slaves. I guess Griffith just couldn’t bring himself to hire the real thing!

“Dr. Wilbur Garner” of the “East Texas Mental Ward.” Do they even exist?

Joing the show was Vernon Dozier and Heath Billings, a law enforcement consultant, to talk about the long uinsolved “Monnlight Murders” of Texarkana, Texas and Arkansas. Vernon, in attempting to reenact the crimes for accuracy, used a male student in place of females and was promptly arrested for seeming indecent behavior; to accurately reflect the position of the victims, he was sitting in the back seat of a car with the boy on his lap kissing his ear. Mr. Billings expressed his feelings that it was no surprise Dozier got popped.

However as hour one went on into hour two, Mr Billings, siting in a bathtub, began playing with toy boats and plastic soldiers. This promptyed a call from “Dr. Wilbur Garner” of the “East Texas Mental Ward.’ Soon, as Phil and the crew would discover, there would another mental patient to deal with
