The back story on this bit is simple….The character of Alf was inspired by a senior citizen of Miami I heard one day on the radio. I made Alf (name taken from the TV alien muppet) a Californian. A the time of this bit the euthanasia topic was all the rage on talk radio, sometime in the early 2000’s. This might even be the bit where Alf said he held a private “memorial service” for her….he buried her in a suitcase off of a deserted highway

We’ve got to deal with the festering anger concerning Health Care….I’m calling around trying to find Father James McQuarters for his “read.” Bob Green was such a confused ass last night trying to defend forwarding Michelle Obama/Ape photos that I may never have him on again. Art Griego remembers flying a prominent politician to a meeting…and contemplating “sending both engines nose-first into the brine.”
