I was going to write an observation and a bit of advice here based on my years of experience and then I realized no one would give a shit and I don’t blame them. Rule 1: never give any g.d. advice unless someone asks for it. And since you didn’t even ask for that, Rule 2: forget I said anything.
This is better. I’ll just tell you how I feel. I’m as close to happy as I’ve ever been. I got no woman (right now) I’ve had more money than I do now. With the exception of actually doing a show I love I positively hate the company I’m in business with…. And yet I have (as the song says) a smile on my face for the whole human race. This is the advantage of age over youth. You reach a point in life where no one and nothing can fuck with you. There just isn’t anymore shit they can lay on you that you can’t handle and you have that warm whiskey-type glow that says ‘bring it on!’ And yes. You’re smiling.
So tonight, instead of ‘advice’ I’m glad I found my way to just telling you how I feel. Thanks to all. All of you!
