Phil Hendrie Show Web Site Business Up 20 Per Cent

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – May 24, 2010
Nationally syndicated (and now heard in Toronto, Canada on News Talk 1010) talk radio satirist, Phil Hendrie has achieved unprecedented success with his recently re-launched website!  www.philhendrieshow.com underwent a complete overhaul and update and now includes such user friendly features as live video-cast with pre-show, live video-cast during the program, daily full show downloads, Classic Phil Archives and comment boards for subscribers.

In today’s economy and with most consumers spending less on necessities, let alone entertainment, the Phil Hendrie Show website saw a nearly 20% rise in subscriptions, known as Backstage Pass subscribers or BSP.  There are features available only to BSP folks, such as being able to email Phil directly and have him respond to every communication personally as well as to be able to post something on the site while non-subscribers can read but not respond. Finally, Phil himself updates the website numerous times each day – including weekends and most recently while on a two week vacation he did so with daily video casts as well as photos and captions about what he was doing on his trip to St. Vincent-Grenadines.

Hendrie stated, “We know that times are tough and that every dollar counts but sometimes entertainment is exactly what we need and that’s why I make the extra effort to update the website throughout the day to connect with the subscribers, other than just through our broadcasts.”

According to the web site’s administrator, Greg Waugh, “Hendrie is just plain wired for social media.  He maintains a close relationship with his fans via his website, and even closer by interacting directly with his Backstage Pass subscribers!”

Customer Support has been another key element that was enhanced upon the re-launch.  Thousands of messages were received after the late March unveiling and were handled individually and 24/7.  Alex Cohen who heads the Customer Support division stated, “When we first moved over to the new format, people were skeptical, but they have come to love our new design and ease of navigation.”

Backstage Pass subscriptions are available for $6.95 a month, $29.95 for 6 months and $54.95 for a year.

The Phil Hendrie Show is syndicated by Talk Radio Network, Monday – Friday, 9pm – 1 am PST and is heard on 110 stations throughout the United States and the recently added affiliate in Toronto, Canada.

Chris asks:

I was trying to explain a bit to my brother, who is a huge Phil Hendrie fan, but I couldn’t find it. The bit was with Loyd Bonifide carving out the teeth of a dummy with a bayonet at a Saturday market or something like that. If you remember, could you point me in the right direction of the year and month. If you can’t, that’s cool.
Thanks
Chris

Dan asks:

Can you explain to us why there are almost no white cornerbacks in the NFL? I think it has something to do the white East German sprinters of the 1960s right? I just can’t remember.

Phil: There was John Lynch and Jason Sehorn but they were safetys. The whites are slow.

Kelly: “Hi Phil, Thanks for the Sanity!”

“Just got back after spending a couple of months in China. I downloaded about 2 months worth of shows before I left because I wasn’t sure I would have internet access there. As it turned out the internet access was pretty spotty, so I downloaded new episodes whenever I could, but I was very grateful for having the ability to save shows to my itouch when I couldn’t get on. Most of the time you were about my only source of entertainment, except for this one TV show that was pretty much like Jerry Springer except in Chinese. I’m not sure where they get the trailer trash, since they don’t have trailers, but somehow they managed to capture the essence of the program.
Anyway, thanks for keeping me sane while I was there and please don’t ever retire again.”
