Episode #168: The New Phil Hendrie Show

Phil and the team are back talking about what a cesspool Facebook is, yet again. Bobbie Dooley and Margaret Grey choose each other off, agreeing to “throw down” at the next opportunity when Margaret offers the opinion that the only reason Dooley has her own podcast is because she gives it up. She mentions Dooley’s series of encounters in the Koo-Ka-Roo parking lot a number of years ago. Jay Santos talks to Phil about Citizens Auxiliary Police techniques in apprehending a suspect including one called the “down low” that involves faking the suspect out with punching the air and pretending to kick him in the balls….and Phil talked about the unreliability of news reporting.

Episode #170: The New Phil Hendrie Show

Margaret and Bud got into another dust up about where the claw from the alien egg in ‘Alien’ should have landed instead of on John Hurt’s face. (Hint: Bud’s crotch or one of Margaret’s breasts) Harvey Weirman came on to discuss the four panel members and how much more money they’re going to need to do a Saturday show. Plus the General wants a personal assistant in case he can’t get out of the bathroom because of a jammed door. Phil discussed having the blues every day at 4 PM and then played “Memory Pain” by Johnny Winter. Pastor William Rennick joined the program and reminisced about marrying Clara and dancing to Rick James’ “Give it to me.” Jeff Dowdder also guested… Tomorrow, we draw for the winner of our VIP package to Phil’s July 30 sold out Hollywood Improv show!

Episode #174: The New Phil Hendrie Show

Phil brought on both Dr. Ron Tarner and Professor Emory Clayton to talk about the ruptured water main in West LA that shut down parts of UCLA. However, the segment sidetracked into Dr. Tarner’s problems with Stephen Hawking and the fact Tarner can barely lift 30 pounds on the leg machine at his gym. Meanwhile, Professor Clayton had a hard time remembering his own name as he talked with Phil about some bullshit, we forget what. Obviously tonight’s one man show was discussed, and Phil congratulated Allen Grooms as the new VIP winner… Tonight at the Improv we’ll also announce the date and place for show number three! If you aren’t there, be listening Friday.
