Episode #227: The New Phil Hendrie Show

Discussed Columbus/Indigenous Peoples Day with Native American professor William Hudspeth and Bob Green, CEO of Frazier Foods, who wanted the Native people sitting in front of his store to leave after they started doing “that hey-hey-ho-ho dancing.” Hudspeth was adamant no Native people warred against each other or enslaved each other even though he admitted that they did but that the “narrative of Native history must be maintained.” Phil talked about the possibility of bringing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to LA since there already has been an LA Buccaneers, an NFL team that called LA home in 1926. Bobbie and Steve Dooley have opened up a sperm bank. And they are the final arbiters on who gets what…

Episode #229: The New Phil Hendrie Show

The gang talked about Gamergate, something Phil maintained was driven by socially inept or unskilled people bordering on autistic. RC Collins joined the show in an ill-conceived attempt at gaining sympathy for his gaming habits, talking Commandant Weirman into pretending to be tased to show RC’s “clout” if gamers aren’t respected. Meanwhile Weirman went along in hopes he’d receive a sizable donation from RC’s father for Bradley Military Academy. Don Berman came on to talk about Rush Limbaugh’s statements regarding Ebola and whether or not Rush is losing his hearing again…this all while Don was ordering donuts for the newsroom staff…donuts he promptly ate.

Episode #230: The New Phil Hendrie Show

Phil’s doing some funny voices for TV this morning, so we’ve got a special guest host for today’s podcast. August Sensen, a sex expert who has “written close to 10,000 pamphlets and booklets on sex and how to get the most out of it.” August was even busted the same way Larry Craig was in the restroom at Minneapolis/St. Paul airport but he was using a stall in the ladies room.

Episode #231: The New Phil Hendrie Show

The show started off with the good news from Margaret Grey’s household that there was no bloody, Ebola diarrhea there at all this morning, much to the general disgust of the crew to which Margaret reacted, typically, with shock and indignation. She recovered enough to butcher up the song “Total Eclipse of the Heart” or as she called it “Turn Around Bright Eyes.” Phil also sang. Phil reviewed walk-off home runs that have won league championships, including last night’s by San Francisco’s Trevor Ishakawa. August Selsen concluded with a brand new half hour of advice on “How to do sex good.”

Episode #234: The New Phil Hendrie Show

Richie Gunn (who will probably change his name because it sounds like Tim Gunn and so does he) reported on the World Series from Kansas City while heading to the airport to go to San Francisco. When he realized there was another game in KC he ordered the driver to turn around and head back to the hotel. The driver hung a u-turn in the middle of the freeway prompting a scream from Richie. Professor Emory Clayton commented on the video of a well known boating accident from 2012 shown by Phil and the panel. It happened on the Lake of the Ozarks and because of that Margaret stated she didn’t want to be seen getting into a boat there for fear she’s assumed to be “an inbred.”

Episode #235: The New Phil Hendrie Show

Discussions on the show this morning ranged from protecting our children as jihadists ramp up recruitment, which was led by Bobbie and Steve Dooley, to an interesting offshot which was that the song wasn’t called “Hang Down Your Head, Tom Dooley” but rather “Hang Down your Head, Steve Dooley.” Richie Bougainvillea reported from Kansas City on game two of the World Series.
