MONTREAL — Quinton Porter ran in for a touchdown in overtime and the Tiger-Cats’ defence stoned the Alouettes as Hamilton won a thrilling CFL East Division Semi-Final 52-44 over Montreal on Sunday.
The Ticats’ first playoff game win in 10 years put them into the division final next Sunday against the Blue Bombers in Winnipeg, while Montreal’s two-year reign as Grey Cup champion came to an end.
The teams scored five TDs between them in the final quarter of an end-to-end cliffhanger for the 33,051 fans at Olympic Stadium.
Montreal quarterback Anthony Calvillo passed for more than 500 yards and three touchdowns.
