Hey Everybody…Tried to post from the set today but it was BUSY….

An old Highland Park Victorian house

As you know I’m on an episode of Marc Maron’s “Maron” sitcom, a show covering Marcs world and amazing rise from podcaster to author to TV star. We are shoooting in an old part of LA, the area northeast of LA and just south of Pasadena called Highland Park. I love these old LA neighborhoods and one of the sets is a house that has to be close to 100 years old. By that I mean circa 1920’s. I’m not saying the people were smaller in the 20’s but I hit my head on a piece of ceiling coming down the stairs from makeup. We shot a scene as well on Eagle Rock Blvd at an Asian community center. Just down the block was a burger stand where the crew ordered some late night dinner for everyone, some damn tasty burgers. What happens is there is something called a base camp where we park our cars and where the dressing rooms are. Once you are changed into wardrobe you get taken to the actual set, so you are working once you get there. There was very little time today to stop down and blog or even take pictures which means I have to have my phone with me. That means either someone holds it for you while you are in a scene or you have it in your pocket which can be picked up by the camera or you put it in a bag and keep it in a “secure” place. With equipment getting picked up, moved around and packed into several different trucks, good luck keeping that phone from being loaded into the bottom of a crate somewhere. But I’ll give it a shot tomorrow. I was only in scenes today with Marc but tomorrow (an 8:30 am call time) there will be three more actors I’ll work with in the scenes we shoot. By the way, as I write this, at 10:15 pm PST, I’ve been home exactly 1 half hour. I got going today at 11 am. So like I said, it was BUSY. Talk to you tomorrow
