Ep. 559

Friday, October 17, 2014

The show started off with the good news from Margaret Grey's household that there was no bloody, Ebola diarrhea there at all this morning, much to the general disgust of the crew to which Margaret reacted, typically, with shock and indignation. She recovered enough to butcher up the song "Total Eclipse of the Heart" or as she called it "Turn Around Bright Eyes." Phil also sang. Phil reviewed walk-off home runs that have won league championships, including last night's by San Francisco's Trevor Ishakawa. August Selsen concluded with a brand new half hour of advice on "How to do sex good." Meanwhile Weirman went along in hopes he'd receive a sizable donation from RC's father for Bradley Military Academy. Don Berman came on to talk about Rush Limbaugh's statements regarding Ebola and whether or not Rush is losing his hearing again...this all while Don was ordering donuts for the newsroom staff...donuts he promptly ate. Discussed Columbus/Indigenous Peoples Day with Native American professor William Hudspeth and Bob Green, CEO of Frazier Foods, who wanted the Native people sitting in front of his store to leave after they started doing "that hey-hey-ho-ho dancing." Hudspeth was adamant no Native people warred against each other or enslaved each other even though he admitted that they did but that the "narrative of Native history must be maintained." Herb Sewell was going to discuss missing North Korea leader Kim Jung-un but was bounced after Margaret walked off the show... Bobbie Dooley was about to discuss Microsoft's CEO making stupid comments about women and raises when Phil walked off the show.
