Another "Best Of" for your enjoyment. Bobbie Dooley and her husband Steve had to scramble and do some image repair after they bought into the whole "KFC Throws Scarred Child Out Of Restaurant" story and led protests against KFC only to find out the whole thing was a hoax. Steve Dooley mentioned having to smoke medical marijuana because he gets "sweat itch" from his well-muscled thigh brushes against his testicles and Mr. Dooley said his "hang pretty low." General Shaw went into a whole description of how to kill a pit bull with your bare hands. Not to be missed. Then it was "On The Water" or "Out In The Wild Blue" (the guys couldn't remember) hosted by Bill Hassinger and Kip Pernell. Dr. Ed Elcott joined the show to talk to Father Guy Jack Rabinowitz, a member of the Elcott clergy, about the Diminishing, that which shrinks or shrivels the ego and Hop Singh, the Elcott method of prayer which, respectfully, treats God like a 19th century Chinese "houseboy." Frank Grey was eating breakfast at Mrs Olsen's and talking to Phil about a new soap opera he's producing called "The Dull and the Dry" about a post-menopausal community of seniors. Episode 186 from The World of Phil Hendrie podcast.

We've got more "Best Of" clips for you to enjoy on today's podcast. Phil will return for our Saturday BSP-Only show, so go sign up for a Backstage Pass now! General Shaw wept as he talked about putting his mother in a nursing facility. The General chose the place that had the best Sunday ice cream social for the old folks. A place that had the old folks bumping into each other eating ice cream was rejected. The General also talked about the wool jock straps his mother used to knit him. Later discussions with Larry Grover about the Tea Party had General Shaw so pissed off he traveled to Larry's house disguised as a pizza delivery man and beat the shit out of him! Long time horse trainer Cliff King made an appearance this morning from Los Alamitos, CA and talked to Phil about "being 72 and walking the streets of Los Alamitos where everyone's my friend." To impress a young waitress at "Egg's N' Things" he starts bending the metal legs of chairs across his forehead... Phil and the crew talked with Frank Grey about a suit brought by the band Spirit against Led Zeppelin for, they claim, lifting a guitar line for "Stairway to Heaven" from one of their songs... Phil brought on Ted Bell to discuss the kind of beef he buys from this Bundy guy.....Ted says it's pretty old and may be slightly diseased, but produces just the right kind of diarrhea that Ted's customers can "savor..." Ted brought on his lunch chef Larry to explain. It all culminates in an outdoor campaign that trumpets the Ted Bell slogan "Ted's of Beverly Hills...A River of Shit..." And Bobbie closes the podcast by giving a little backstory for the Cuntington sisters. Episode 185 from The World of Phil Hendrie podcast.

Phil is taking a quick trip up to America's hat (Canada), so we've cut together some "Best Of" clips for you to enjoy. The show started with the panel discussing the death penalty. Bill Cumming, or Brad Cummings (it changed within a few minutes), a friend of Margaret's and an ally of hers in her fight against the death penalty, runs into a problem with his last name because he is also a producer of adult films and his kids school wants to kick them out. When Phil mentions the problem with his kids, Bill (or Brad) has a full emotional break down including tears, sobs, snot and rage....and then of course hung up... Jeff Dowdder was at Cratered Park in either Nebraska or Texas riding the roller coaster Doom Hurdle. He sounded like he was going to die but afterward said it was just "okay." Don Parsley, the career conman who's been caught up in some of the most bizarre swindles in American history guested this morning with a tale of kindness to a stranger gone all wrong. The crew had been discussing the story of toys being taken from the grave-site of an infant and Don mentioned being involved in taking a car that had been the property of a heart attack victim. Parsley said there's a saying, "steal a car from a fat man and live seven years," and he was going on that although everyone was confused as to what that meant; live only seven years or live seven more years... And Bobbie closes the show discussing her annual Springtacular. Episode 184 from The World of Phil Hendrie podcast.

They also had on Dr. Sadler who got very upset when he found out that he, a doctor and eminent man, was taking meds, but Dickman wasn't... Frank Grey came on the show from his son The Delmonico's hockey practice and proceeded to get that confused with a David Hockney exhibit Margaret dragged him to...
