Ep. 326

Friday, March 7, 2014

Bobbie Dooley returned as a guest tonight to further defend her religious freedom and the Easter festival Western Estates is mounting drawing heavily on "the fertility festival of the tree sloth." Jeff Dowder discussed recent city laws enacted by Los Angeles sharply curtailing use of the e-cigarette. Later Vernon Dozier and Rudy Canosa joined Bobbie in a free wheeling debate while Bobbie rehearsed the Western Estates "jungle drum corp."

Ep. 326

Thursday, March 6, 2014

Bobbie Dooley guest hosts tonight and talks about having to keep your eye on a leprechaun lest he escape with his pot of gold. That's when Steve nicknames his penis "the leprechaun" and takes a beating for it. Father James McQuarters joins Bobbie as does Harvey Weirman, Ted Bell and Dr. Jim Sadler. Bobbie also tells the story of an Easter Sunday when LA County Sheriff were called to Western Estates to look into reports of a pagan-style, frenzied dance around a bonfire.

Ep. 323

Wednesday, March 5, 2014

The resignation of Russia Today news anchor Liz Wahl was discussed with Don Berman from channel 19 news calling it gutsy but "a real grandstand act." Margaret Grey said she was "proud of her but I still wanted to slap her dirty face, showing up the rest of us." Art Greigo spoke to Phil from Santa Monica Airport while he was doing some repair work on a couple of airplanes. He wanted to, he said, warn Phil about calling himself the "comedy farmer" (which had been discussed) lest people think of the old song "Farmer John" by the Premiers. The song tells of a young man in love with the farmers daughter and Art was worried people would simply think of some guy putting it to a chick on top of a pile of wheat that would eventually be made into a breakfast cereal. Pretty disgusting, said Art.

Ep. 320

Tonight the show tried to reboot Dr. Tarner from last night who asked David G. Hall for another shot at explaining animal life. The doctor didn't feel his calling higher levels of life "animals with eyes and noses that stare at you" a complete and satisfactory description. As usual the dysfunction of the shows players destroyed the segment and Tarner went off crying. Steve Bosell commented on the Rachel Canning story, a young lady suing her parents for support and tuition after being thrown out of the house. Bosell told Phil that even though he'd made soft-boiled eggs with toast fingers, his daughter still reported him to school headmistress Erica Dorton for badmouthing the Canning girl and sticking up for the parents instead......

Ep. 319

Monday, March 3, 2014

The Academy Awards pizza delivery was discussed. Margarets friends "Dell and Grace Kaldukian" got hosed she felt by Ellen Degeneres propping her pizza guy, "some other Armenian. It's patently unfair," said Ms. Grey. Dr. Ron Tarner was supposed to discuss the frozen 30,000 year old virus found by researchers in the arctic frost but got sidetracked by Stephen Hawking and "The Thing." The Stone Age tribes of Brazil were discussed by Phil as he mocked documentary makers going into the jungle to record their activities....
