General Gaylen Shaw, it develops, had an intimate encounter with a young woman on the rooftop of her parents home in Palm Springs, CA before she announced she was off in the morning to join a convent. This has really hung the General up for many years and he got it off his chest with Father James McQuarters. Tonight Phil also did his semi-regular speech about "Copland" one of "the greatest movies ever" and then had to deal with Doug Danngers perfunctory, slap-dash review of the movie using "short-hand."

There was no new show due to President's Day, so Phil ran some classic shows on the videocast. And we've got some comedy gold from February 28, 2001 for the podcast. Dr. Jim Sadler opened the show to offer his advice as a pediatrician and cloth diaper service owner. He claims that the kids who went out in the freezing cold did so because their disposable diapers are too hot. The second hour featured Bob McGraw of McGraw Industries. Bob is raising money for the Seattle Quake by selling earthquake kits for $250 each. The money is going to multiple charities, but Bob can't remember their names, so it's best to make out the checks directly to Bob McGraw. Phil closed the show with a rant about the Seattle Quake, the "Economic Downturn", the Grizzlies moving to LA, and the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Margaret sang a variety of Carpenter songs for Valentines Day although she did her usual "lyrical improvisation" which basically means singing any lyric that comes into her head. For "Close to You" she sang "close to me" and for "Top Of The World: she sang it from the perspective of someone who's bipolar. Phil found the story he'd been searching for about a man and wife on a honeymoon in Hawaii and how she allegedly was bit by a shark and bled to death. No body and everyone has to take the guys word for it. Back to the Valentines songs, Margaret all of a sudden deemed the lyrics to "Afternoon Delight" filthy and refused to sing them. Too many references to "nibbling."
