Classic Hour

Our fourth day of tribute to Art Bell in the only way we know how… playing our early 2000s Art Bell segments. Some pretty silly stuff today including General Johnson Jameson looking to kick Jack Frost’s ass.

The BSP Classic Show is from November 2006. Harvey Wireman is on with Phil because he believes the Dove billboards are dangerous to drivers. When Phil asks him why, he goes on to say “because they feature fat women.”

Thank you again Phil for the tribute to Art Bell. As an aside, I watched the Danish National Orchestra perform the theme from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly as you have been making reference to. Simply amazing rendition.

Thank you for doing this. It means a lot to everyone who listened to your show leading into Art’s on KFI for all those years. Art had it and so do you.

Thanks for the tribute this week Phil. Started listening to you in mid 2000 delivering pizzas. Would get off at 1 a.m. and would drink beer until 5 a.m. listening to C2C. I remember the show he came back to after Ramona passed, and it made me cry for his pain. He mentioned in a solemn yet relieved voice of contemplating suicide. The saddest radio I have ever listened to… until the next night you came back on!! HAHA, thanks again for this week! John in LA (Leland Area N.C.)
