Phil, you were wondering how it is an expansion team like Las Vegas Knights could be so good in their first year. Most would point to the fact that the 30 existing NHL teams were only able to protect 9 to 10 players on their rosters so Vegas had a lot of premium talent to choose from when assembling their team. This has not sit well with many NHL teams yet Seattle, which is expected to be granted the next NHL franchise, is expecting the same arrangement when they come into the league for the 2020-21 season. Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckemheimer will be one of the two primary owners of the team and they’ll have to pay $650m to join the NHL so they understanbly expect the same sweetheart deal that Vegas got.

PS, When it comes to naming the team, I’m hoping for the Seattle Sockeye!

This reminds me I’ve never found that Boobie & Steve Doley bit from 2004 or 2005 or 2006 where cats were having sex in their backyard missionary style. There was a loud crying cat sound played over and over again while Boobie tried to convince the caller that “well THESE cats are doing it missionary style.”
