Cleveland pitcher Herb Score, who Vernon compared Phil to Ted Bell and Dean Wheeler debated the offensive sports nickname question by bringing the long gone southern baseball team, the Atlanta Crackers, into the debate. And somehow Ted's rivalry with Honk Kong Charlie got mixed in with Ted saying "I'm a white man on me knees to the yellow horde." Vernon Dozier was going to talk about the college football playff system that will debut next season but instead lectured again on good tackling and blocking, ending every sentence with an emphatic "go back to your MA-MA" for anyone not tough enough to heed him General Gaylan Shaw got into the singing act by breaking out his rendition of "Kentucky Rain" by Elvis, a song about a man looking for a woman who's left him. The General thought it was a hamster and the whole topic went straight to hell when Phil said "it wasn't a hamster it was a woman" and Vernon said "You just fed him a change up and he's about to drive it right back into the box and your face!"

Ep. 168

Tonight Dave Oliva and Jay Santos butcher up a report on the Thanksgiving traffic with Jay running up and down the shoulder of the freeway on his Harley stopping at his "checkpoints." Ted Bell and Bill Bruford of Bruford's Turkey Farm argued over how each was going to roll out his commercial. Meanwhile David G. Hall liked the idea of the men combining their messages since Ted's is "We want to put our meat in your mouth" and Bill's is "Our turkey's are moist, tender and willing."

Ep. 92

Tonight, as Matt honeymoons with his bride, we rolled a show from February. It's Phil talking with Doug Dannger and Steve Bosell about a new video series called 'Baby Done Gone Wild." Wait'lll you hear this bit of kookiness as Bosell floats a theory about "the natural instinct of babies to battle each other" and "the discovery of 4000 year old baby fossils that seem to indicate a 4 day battle between babies involving chariots and armor." Also Phil talked with Ted Bell about football salary caps and a female kicker trying out with the New York Jets. But Ted's real topic of discussion was concerning how he was not being taken seriously as a sports reporter. When conversation swung around to how much a Ted cost at his restaurant, Ted blurted out "When Seth McFarland used to sell his ass down on Wilshire for the price of a Ted, his ass was worth exactly $9.95." Bobbie Dooley discussed Joan Rivers controversial joke about the Holocaust and Hiedi Klum's dress. Bobbie said that she and Steve used to be insensitive to the Holocaust as well "until we tried eating that box lunch on the way to Oktoberfest and suddenly felt ill."
