Phil and the panel talk to Bobbie and Steve Dooley, still at Buttner Lake, who claim that Halloween is a great traditional holiday “in the mountains.” They also talk about great female singers of the 70s, some of whom, like Bonnie Tyler and Helen Reddy, Bobbie thinks were as good as Aretha.
The BSP Classic Show is from September 2002. Deb Turner says the 9/11 terrorists just needed the love of their fathers. Lloyd Bonafide is an elderly man who is frustrated that his wife has to pee a lot on long car trips, and says that 9/11 made her a wimp.

When you go tag team…now you’re in serious trouble.
Just one flight of stairs?
Aretha Franklin singing Opera sucked. Hell Paul Potts sang it better. She was a great singer just not Opera. Sounded like she just got done running a flight of stairs when she was singing.
To each his own, but most people hearing this performance were pretty complimentary including Pavarotti himself. A flight of stairs? Hardly.
I understand, love a lot of what she does and admire her for trying just didn’t sound good to me. I doubt my opinion means that much in the grand scheme of things. In fact kind of regretting saying anything at this point. Take care
