We have aspects of socialism in our daily lives. No society is pure capitalism.

Word to the wise: life is short and so is our time here. No one on any platform, be it social media/podcasts/or Thanksgiving dinner, regardless of political perspective, is ever going to change someone’s mind. It’s weird how now I consider getting cancer a gift of some sort, looking at the frivolousness of a lot around us. Unless one is directly and adversely impacted by whatever, enjoy the day!

Phil admits he’s a socialist, unless I heard him wrong. Phil, excuse my paraphrase but I think you said anyone that thinks communism and socialism are the same are basically idiots. Well a few points in which they are the same 1). Neither has shown to be effective especially when compared to capitalism historically. 2). Neither socialism or communism promote hard work, a competitive attitude and both are favored by deadbeats that are scared to work and compete.

I think you might need to do a bit more research , Troy. The reality is that we lived in a world with a hybrid system. There is no such thing as a purely capitalistic society,

I am tracking and understand no one system is pure. The founding fathers I believe wanted something more pure that what we have. I understand the necessity of Socialism in any government system I just think the pros of Capitalism outweigh the pros of Socialism. To each his own, thanks for the feedback.
