Tuesday, June 11, 2013

Doug Dannger was on to discuss Jim Carrey's latest project, one that did not get off the ground. In the process he discussed Carrey's first, "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" which Bob Green called in about, claiming it was originally "Ace Ventura: Pet Embalmer" and that his brother, Richard Green, wrote it. Austin Amarca was also on saying Dannger hitting the "gay man and gay journalist" note was getting on his nerves. Later it was Harvey Weirman discussing some legal issues but remembering the mental illness of his wife who used to look at him at dinner and say "It's your move. I'm standing here. It's your move." Dr. Jim Sadler called in to try and talk to Harvey about his issues but was driven from the air.

Dean and Emerelda Wheeler return to the show to help solve the shooting of Johnny Two-Sheets, a Native American who was shot out of a tree in Deans backyard while Dean claims a "herd of squirrels" mocked him and a "purification ceremony" he was conducting. Margaret also ran afoul of Phil and the panel when she said Phil had no right to talk about old bands like Van Halen since the members are elderly and might have strokes. "Phil, you run the risk of David Lee Roth trying to do the splits and only one leg works or he sings "You might as wew Rump".

On the show tonight Dr. Ron Tarner talked about the physical evolution of humans over the next 100,000 years and how we will look. (Hint: Our eyes will be bugged out and our heads will be big) David G. Hall defended Margaret's "lock-out" of "I'm Margaret Grey" as being appropriate even though that phrase is supposed to bring all discussion to an end regardless of where anyone is in a sentence. Larry Grover took grave exception to Obama's NSA gathering phone records even as he admitted Bush did the same thing...Meanwhile, as Larry is talking he's getting hassled by a group of kids in the men's room. "Phil I was afraid I was going to get raped"

Ep. 166

Wednesday, June 5, 2013

On the show tonight Don Clendenon, operator of "Clendenon Can Do" an online bookmaking site, discussed how it is he can make money when he is so bad at picking games and winds up losing most of the time. He also talked about the 25 highest paid athletes in the world. He knew their names and their salaries but not the sport they played. For instance number 24 was Tony Romo. Clendenon couldn't make out what the uniform was he was wearing.... Father James McQuarters discussed a US senator and the pictures his wife claims are sent to him by women wanting to have sex. When McQuarters found out the wife's name was Heather MacGill, he broke into song, singing about two sisters Maggie and Heather McGill, who "did it till they blistered...."
