A discussion of Christmas and family tonight as we talked with the Dooleys, Bobbie and Steve, about how they extend invitations to family members living around the country and then “pray to the savior Jesus and say please…..PLEASE…make them turn down the invite and say no.” Why this contradictory attitude? “It’s polite and gracious to offer but it’s also expected that people with class will say no.” Bobbie says in California, when you invite relatives in from out of state to visit, people say they “got the smell of hog on them…”

The hostage taking at a school board meeting in Florida was talked about by Jay Santos of the Citizens Auxiliary Police. While an armed security guard ended the standoff by shooting the gunmen who then took his own life, Jay doesn’t think the guard was a hero. “I could have taken the guy without the use of a firearm. Just present a small target and come at him sideways so there’s less wind resistance. Then lock my left arm around his neck and right arm across his head, rotate him 180 degress so the cameras see what I’m doing and snap his neck.” The audience: Jay would never pass the standard psych test for cops.

sittle cracks me up. He practically writes a thesis on every show. I'll bet he keeps a Phil journal next to his empty bottle of meds.

Roll yourself up in a ball to cut wind resistance…scurry across the floor…. I personally know a Jay Santos….This is a classic..align yourself with the camera… Loved this one…

I live in a small town in Wisconsin where we have the Cow Chip Festival which is centered around a cow manure tossing contest. So I laughed hysterically at the Dooley segment.
    Great show!

    Top notch Dooleys.

"The Stink of Hog" and brainwashing.

    sums it up for me.

Bobbies setup wasn't terrible, but not overly phunny… She gets phunny as she slips into David G Hall mode to discuss Phil and all of his "big man"-ness visiting his relatives house for the holidays. Great Mmm-Hmmms on the first call. Bobbie finally ramped up the bit when she insinuated that a callers uncle touched her…. imo, nothing livens up a Dooly call when she tosses out molestation claims. It would have been nice to hear more elitist and classist accusations hurled from Bobbie.

Good setup and premise for Jay…. Jay applauds Mike Jones bravado, but disagrees with his technique (shooting him in the back, letting Clay Duke eat a bullet etc)… Great descriptions of Jays technique. The callers were pretty dull but Jay had some respectable responses… not all wildly hilarious, but it was entertaining.

Both bits depended on the callers to provide hilarity… they weren't successful on that front, but Phil, Bobbie and Jay did make a little bit of hay with Bobbies treatment of callers.

Two decent and solid segments, imo!
