I like that Phil took it to poke. That guy is a complete basket case. He really needs to get a fucking life. Way to go Phil 🙂
@Paul: Yes, that is a good rule to follow. Unfortunately, we needed to migrate the data to a new Amazon S3 account, as the old one is still in use by our previous developer. There was simply no way to get around it.
Unfortunately, Phil has picked yet another inept web design outfit.
Rule #1 in any database management is to keep your application separate from your data…so the fact that they had to migrate data means that rule was violated.
In layman’s terms, if your database is constructed properly, any application can access it (if allowed) and it would be in a standard format. It means if Phil wanted Kaiser Hospital to put it on their website, it would be a simple matter. It’s all about standardizing your data.
This also means Phil could “test drive” web developers before paying big bucks.
“HE had big boobs. Of course now things are beggining to sag…”
How you go through all that discussion about strippers using the masculine tense without busting a gut is beyond me.
