I’m not a super fan of football, but living in Buffalo, it’s hard to completely avoid the Bills. So I watch the games sometimes, I can follow a game, understand some/most/probably not all parts of a game. I’ve probably heard them more on the radio, the broadcasters (Van Miller, John Murphy, etc) are local legends because except for Steve Tasker sometimes doing tv commentary, they’re national guys.
The Lions games are way more fun to listen to, I wish everyone had homers for PxP peeople. I can imagine broadcasters slapping their foreheads after bonehead plays, but I want to hear the frustration too! And if you listen to a Bills radio game, there are more commercials than action in the game. And they suck, they aren’t funny. Lions commercials rule!
my mother was a low talker just like Karen Deauville, is skyboy the love child of warren benman and Debbie Daley?
That’s as good a guess as any, Jeff. That whisper thing is a constant on life. Monthly Python had a funny ‘mom whispering bit.’
Earl Kooch Rules!!
Kooch keeps it real
I’ll say it again…Lion’s football and Lion’s Line (or is it “Lion’s Lion”?!?) is worth the BSP price alone. Who hasn’t watched a football game, or any sporting event, and just wished the announcers would go off and tell it like it is. Jack, Brent, and the rest of the crew do just that. Thanks, Phil.
Thank you brother….. I love doing it!
