Ep. 72

Thursday, March 21, 2013

Phil talked with Dr. Ron Tarner about the Sphinx and how it lost its nose. But the conversation goes south quickly as Bud scoffs at the doctors theories and Tarner himself begins a bizarre tale of creating artificial life and perpetrating a hoax in Nova Scotia in the 80's involving a supposed "ghoul." Steve Bosell's initial support for "Gay Conversion Therapy" is misinterpreted by neighbor Roy Hutchins to mean that Steve is gay so he reverses himself in an interview with his hometown paper saying he no longer supports the controversial idea. Meanwhile Hutchins so-called "harassment" of Steve has never gone past idle comments made over the back yard fence. Other weird crap...

Ep. 70

Wednesday, March 20, 2013

Tonight Bobbie Dooley was guest host and along with her husband Steve she talked about everything from incest, to Steve's impotence outside of LA County (complete with a song about that called 'I Love To Screw In LA') to doing anything to protect your children, including burning a house to the ground (She interviewed author Ian Steve about his book 'Everything For Brian') Caller Lloyd Bonafide took exception to Bobbie referring to the Minnesota State Patrol as "the Gestapo." Bobbie also tried to fake a phony-baloney family 'saying' but she ran out of stuff to say before the show eneded.

Ep. 69

Tuesday, March 19, 2013

Tonight's show featured Doug Dannger, entertainment writer for the Orange County Courier and a self-described "gay man and gay journalist" talking with Phil from his regular Tuesday bowling night with the Courier's league team. Doug had just bowled a 272 on route to a crushing victory over the San Gabriel Valley Tribute. On to ostensibly talk about Tom Cruise possibly starring in a fiilm version of "The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Doug mentioned that Roman Toomey, the only surviving child of mass murderer Randall Toomey, was at the bowling alley dropping his pants and flipping people off because he's "one of those shock bowlers that played in the PBA awhile back...." Plus asteroid talk and Bob Bakian reports from high above a "nudes beach.....not a nudist beach...but a nudes beach....There's a difference..."

Ep. 65

Thursday, March 14, 2013

Dr. Ron Tarner tried to untangle an argument Phil was having with Bud about whether the human race evolved spontaneously all over the world or strictly in eastern Africa. But he became so incensed at Bud for sidetracking the discussion over the name "Boone" and whether it was a racial slur that he hung up. Meanwhile Margaret contended that Daniel Boone was a great American but "a drooling moron" as well. Vincent Short, a writer for British Concourse magazine came on to report on the Concourse d' Elegance on Amelia Island, an annual exhibition of classic cars. Short said that when he sat in the 1931 Alfa Romeo he became aroused and they had to call in a cleaning crew. It was humiliating for him to be escorted "out of the area by two, blue-shirted, billy stick carrying security people while cleaning people were racing by me, going in the opposite direction." More crud in addition to this....

Ep. 63

Wednesday, March 13, 2013

Tonight Father James McQuarters and Pastor William Rennick debated the merits of the new Pope, Frances from Argentina, with Rennick wondering whether or not the Pope "is going to come with me in these things I've got planned." Jeff Dowdder talked about a British man saving children on a beach in Australia by dragging a shark away that had swum near them. Dowdder recounted a similar action he took years ago and one he was not noted or rewarded for... Little Ian Anderson talked about his cousin Davey being a part of the construction crew that unearthed the remains of King Richard the III in Leicstershire County, England last year.
