Well tonight Margaret Grey returned to try and pitch John Edwards again. This time she told Phil she wanted to see Edwards have the chance to speak at his ex-wife Elizabeth's funeral. "This is a chance for John to say 'for Elizabeth it's goodbye but my kisser isn't going anywhere', tastefully of course. I even see perhaps, done with humor, a John Edwards button pinned to Elizabeth's body. You see Phil it's all in the context, like the song says." She then attempted to sing a song she called "In The Context" that was horrible. We also featured a rare interview with Dr. Ron Tarner from the Science Council For Racial Equality. Dr. Tarner was joining with the magazine Mother Jones and others to say that a Duncan Hines commercial with cupcakes covered in black chocolate dancing to a beat box was racist and that it was only the tip of the iceberg. Tarner remarked that most chocolates today are in colors that reflect the "skin colorations of black people" and that one could come home and make cookies that "look like a black." In Dr. Tarner's world, that is unacceptable....

Our first hour featured Marylynn Donnelly, a Belmont Shores mother whose teenage daughter Jamie has been investigated for bullying two classmates. "It doesn't make sense" said Marylynn. "How can you be that fat and that popular." She admitted her own daughter is large but that these other two large girls are popular with the cheerleaders and the jocks while her own daughter only has other fat girls for friends. Asked why her daughter was stranded in a parking lot one night by her volleyball teammates and forced to call Marylynn for a ride she said "I don't know. All she did was pull a common teenage prank. She defecated on the back seat of her friends car as a joke." Our next guest was Professor Emory Clayton who teaches an Urban Media class at LA Canyon College. Professor Clayton is convinced that the rumors of Oprah Winfrey being a lesbian were started by "the white media. They don't like s strong, proud black woman being successful so they start floating the rumor that she's a man-eater. Hell, the number one rumor-spreader herself is Barbara Walters so that when it comes time to deny it Oprah'll do it on the Barbara Walters Show!"

Tonight, on this anniversary of his tragic death, Bobbie Dooley and her husband Steve came on to talk about John Lennon and to talk about the influence of the man and his music. Ms Dooley had John Lennon's song "Imagine" played, both by Mr. Lennon and by the cast of "Glee." While Ms Dooley recognized Mr. Lennon's enormous talents she told Phil that the cast of "Glee" actually did the song better because " their voices quaver, up and down, you know what I mean" and they have better technology. Mr Lennon, Ms Dooley said, sang "Imagine" like "he was standing next to Lincoln in his famous dream looking at himself in a coffin." Later Jeff Dowder, a part-time professor of mechanical physics at Cal Tech and an amateur nutritionist, talked about McDonalds bringing back the McRib Sandwich, a pork sandwich which in Mr. Dowder's opinion is sure to inflame Muslims. Mr. Dowder told Phil that the scent of pork "wafting" under the nose of a Muslim is sure to set him off "like in "Lord of the Flies," stripping off his shirt and dancing around a bonfire."

Our show this evening began with Margaret Grey saying that the death of Elizabeth Edwards was sad but that shouldn't stop Democrats from using it to raise money for the 2012 elections. "The...uh....Edwards lady....Elizabeth Edwards, I mean," said Margaret, struggling to remember the womans name "was a martyyr to our battle against reactionary Republicans...." No to be out done in the slime department, Raj Feneen joined Phil to discuss a proposed pay raise for our military. Raj said that basically they don't deserve one because "what wars have they won? You gotta produce and then you get bonused. Frankly the last guys to desrve any kind of raise were the Gulf War guys....

Dr. Jim Sadler made a rare appearance last night talking about sex education and better ways to communicate with kids. Dr. Sadler thinks there's something to a dirty joke worked into a TV show like The Simpson's Sunday night. A muppet-like character named Moe had this exchange with singer Katy Perry. Moe: "I'm gonna kiss your belly button." Perry: "That's not my belly button....but don't stop." Dr. Sadler thinks this is the solution to parents not wanting to deal with the topic but not wanting the schools to either. By the way, Dr. Sadler threw his hat into the ring with a children's book that had Santa walking in on the Elves masturbating. It was burned by angry parents in a San Diego parking lot. Next up was football coach Vernon Dozier, from Bel Mar Academy, Glendale, California. He was reacting to the problem of "hover" parents, parents who feel they have the right to interfere in high school football programs, even to the extent of watching game film and making suggestions. It was vintage Vernon as he angered parents with comments like "The stadium is called Dozier Stadium...that's ME."

We welcomed our old friend Larry Grover tonight for a wide-ranging discussion of Harry Reid, Democratic Senator from Nevada. Larry, incredibly he says, supports Senator Reids proposal to allow online gambling. And the fact that Larry "has no choice but to support Senator Reid" makes Larry "taste the throw-up in the back of my throat." Online gambing is a conservative cause. And Larry says he has no choice "but to work on Harry Reids farm" Later on it was Steven Bosell called in once again to his daughters school to answer for another politically incorrect opinion. This time Steve made the mistake of telling his daughter that while he approves of gays in the military he believes the policy should be implemented over time. His daughter April Jr. went to her school and reported her fathers opinion which runs counter to the schools position that "open and full recruitment should begin immediately." Steve stood before his daughters 7th grade class as he was called a homophobe and a bigot by 11 year old Bradley, class suck-up, and intimidated by Mrs Fessler who held a pointer to his back.

Tonight we welcomed on the show Ted Bell from Ted's of Beverly Hills to discuss charitable giving during the holidays. "Toys For Tots," says Ted is fine but he doesn't like to take "busted junk" and "crap you find in a vacant lot" to the collection centers. Ted buys new toys and when he shows up he holds the toy above his head and tells the other people there "See this? It's NEW" Ted says if there aren't people at the Toys For Tots bin yet he'll "circle the area and check it out with binoculars. Once I see people gathering I'll drive over." Next was former NFL defensive back Daryl Webber on to respond to New York Giant Antrel Rolle's remarks about booing fans. Rolle said that "fans shouldn't boo." And that football players are much like soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. Mr. Webber essentially agreed saying that "everytime I step onto a football field I run the risk of getting my head broke and having it flop around like a Raggedy-Ann doll." Plus Daryl says that football players run the risk of broken necks in front of 80,000 people whereas soldiers run the same risk but only in front of "wind and rocks."

Tonight, Dan Shakleford of Net Neutrality Now, argued on behalf of what he called, Free Speech. "The United States government should not be allowed to restrict any access to the internet" and the support the First Amendment would need would be people going to any and all websites no matter how loathsome. "I consider it my duty to the First Amendment to go to all kinds of pornographic sites including child porn sites and navigate them for at least 5 minutes everyday no matter how sick. I also muist call Obama a n***** at least once a day. I don't want to but I have too." Later it was high school senior Justin MacElroy talking with Phil about a so-called white paper he and a friend published at their high school. In it MacElroy tells fellow students to get their parents so angry they slap the young person. After crying the student then extracts an apology from their parents, emotionally blackmailing them into buying the kid an IPhone or Android. Justin tells Phil "Today the teen has it tough ad doesn't want to wind up on a slave farm."

We had Bobbie Dooley and Steve Dooley joining us from the Western Estates Parent Teacher Organization talking about a crossing guard at a cross walk in front of their security gates. Bobbie said that this crossing guard needs to make sure the kids are cleared off the crosswalk when the gates open and "a parade of black sedans with tinted windows come streaming out in the morning. Those are men going to their jobs as investment bankers and consultants." One morning even Bobbie came sailing out at 40 miles an hour. The crossing guard had to grab a kid and dive into a nearby ditch to avoid being hit. Bobbie said she thought the guard was "playing, going right and then left daring me to hit her. So I said, 'Okay, I'll play.'" Next up was Don Berman stopping by our show long enough to tell Phil that this Wikileaks story and the special that Channel 19 has planned on it for next week will resurrect his career after a drunk diving and ht and run arrest this year put a serious crimp in it. And that on the heels of the paternity suit in 2009.  Has Don read the leaked documents? No but what's that got to do with it?
