Ep. 880

Bobbie Dooley organizes a new "Million Mom March" to march off and find Casey Anthony. Like a cattle drive, they'll have a chuck wagon and "bed down for the night" as they hunt for Anthony. Larry Grover discusses what he'd do if he found a young man hiding from him in his daughter's closet. Phil relates the time he hid in a girlfriends closet from her mom. Then for the BSP Classic Hour, from May 27 2003, Bobbie Dooley is hosting another grad party this year at her house; a kid overdosed there last year, but Bobbie says parents should let the kids make up their own minds.

Ep. 1105

Day two of Phil working away from the El Pacifico (for details, listen to the BSP Pre-show or join the chat tonight at 9 p.m. PST). Today's show first aired November 13, 2015. Margaret Grey, Bobbie Dooley and Steve Dooley revisit the topic: “Who’s better looking, Kylie or Kendall Jenner?” Chef Carl Chodillia is cleaning up after yesterday’s Republican Women’s breakfast of beans, coffee and bacon. The BSP Classic Hour is from January, 2006. Bobbie Dooley found a Burmese cat that belongs to her neighbor but she refuses to return it.
Don Micksa, a liberal professor from the University of Washington, told Phil that he, Don, was a white man black people could trust since he dated a black girl who was the younger sister of a Black Panther. Don said the best thing to do with George Zimmerman was "to feed him to the Black Panthers so he can be put on trial in one of those "people's tribunals." Later Bobbie Dooley, Margaret Grey, Steve Dooley, Frank Grey and, yes, Don Micksa (who had stopped by the Dooley's for a drink) got into a free for all that touched on Bobbie's ongoing need for closure around the lottery, Margaret's liberal credentials, Frank's gender confusion and Don Micksa's regrets over asking caller to mail him her underwear.
AL PETERSON – NTS ONLINE Pollak Gets Inside Phil Hendrie’s Head In a recent interview with actor Kevin Pollak on his weekly streaming Chat Show, Talk Radio Network syndicated host and KFI/Los Angeles weekender Phil Hendrie revealed, among other tidbits, how he thinks his unorthodox show fits into the Talk radio landscape. “I’m the tie-dye department of the tuxedo shop,” he told Pollak. “If Rush [Limbaugh] and Howard [Stern] are Corvettes, I’m an off-road vehicle.” Hendrie also gives up just which family member in his life inspired one of his radio show’s most beloved characters, the infamous “Bobbie Dooley,” and reveals the name of the Hollywood heavyweight who recently dubbed him “a F*$#-ing genius!” Check out Pollak’s full interview with Hendrie (starting @ around the 24:50 mark) HERE.  JOCKLINE/MORNING MOUTH Phil Hendrie Gets Up Close and Personal with Kevin Pollak Actor Kevin Pollak invited his fellow actor and TRN/KFI-AM Los Angeles radio personality, Phil Hendrie, to be a guest on "Kevin Pollak's Chat Show." The intimate setting comprised of a black back drop and the two gentlemen sitting across each other at a round table lent a dramatic yet comfortable environment in which Hendrie opened up unlike ever before in the two-and-a-half hour long interview. When asked who Hendrie derives inspiration from, he said Laurel and Hardy, Lenny Bruce, Jonathan Winters and most telling, Jackie Gleason. Hendrie said of Gleason, "He was my Dad, a big man who would come through the door, ebullient and happy one night and the polar opposite the next...Gleason made anger and strife and the things happening in my home funny...Impotent anger makes me laugh my ass off!" Hendrie also revealed that the "Mmm, hmmming" Bobbie Dooley was inspired by his Mom. Hendrie says Dooley is, "a perfect dismissive suburban woman who is also a sociopath, not that my mom was a sociopath." Pollak also told Hendrie about his friends who are long time fans of Hendrie such as Garry Shandling who has come by to watch Hendrie live in studio, as well as Larry David who said after seeing him at the Aspen Comedy Festival, "He's a f**king genius." Pollak asked Hendrie how his show fits in radio. At a recent homeowners meeting in Western Estates, Bobbie Dooley stopped the proceedings to ask the rhetorical question, "Who did Charles Manson kill?" The attendees were stunned as "their eyes widened and their jaws drooped" though likely not for the reasons Bobbie thought. As a result Ms. Dooley thinks Manson should be granted parole on Wednesday.
