Ep. 1294

Another music special, this time with Margaret Grey singing and Frank Grey as engineer. To be kind, let’s just say Margaret gives it her all.
"Phil discussed the passing of Sheriff John Rovick, a childrens show host in Los Angeles during the fifties and sixties. Margaret sang Sheriff John's 'Birthday Song' but gave it a scat feel that bugged Phil... 'I gave it the Cab Callaway. Big deal,' said Margaret." Show Log For Friday October 12, 2012Phil talked about Godzilla tonight, or as Margaret called him, "God-zura or God-zeeya." It was her opinion and Buds as well that Phil creating a photo of a giant baby sitting in downtown Tokyo would be traumatic for the Japanese people to see... Phil discussed the passing of Sheriff John Rovick, a childrens show host in Los Angeles during the fifties and sixties. Margaret then tried to sing Sheriff John's "Birthday Song" but gave it a scat feel that bugged Phil... "I gave it the Cab Callaway. Big deal," said Margaret. Herb Sewell joined the show to discuss Taliban death threats against a fourteen year old girl in Pakistan and the fact that "Phil's big mouth could get him into hot water too."  Phil took a lot of heat tonight from Margaret and Bud. As he fractured his grammar at one point by saying "He don't know" Margaret remarked "Phil, you talk like you use the pages of a catalogue to wipe with. My God."Mavis uses Harry Potter pages as "ass-wipe." Speaking of wiping, Mavis Leonard expressed her disdain for the Harry Potter books saying she's torn all the pages out of those books and folded them neatly into a "stack of ass-wipes on the toilet tank. Real handy."
Bob Surrah. a retired man in Washington DC, joins our program to talk about being at the Obama town hall meeting and how his feelings and the feelings of others who voted for Obama get hurt when people criticize him. In fact, says Bob, he was personally so hurt by the slamming of Obama he developed a twitch and lost control of his bowels. In the second hour, Margaret Grey, nationally syndicated columnist, talked about Christine O'Donell, the Tea Party candidate for US Senate from Delaware, and her statements about being into Wicca and not lying, even to protect Jews from Hitler! Margaret thinks she's a mess. Margaret also wants middle class women to know that even though she has never experienced economic hard times, she stands in solidarity with them and will start eating at Red Lobster.
Margaret Grey came on praising a New York City elementary school teacher who admitted in a September 7th blog that she had worked as a prostitute. It takes a certain kind of tough woman to do that in the name of supporting herself so she can be a teacher some day. Not a bad role model for other young women, said Margaret. When Phil asked her how she'd feel about a life like that for any daughter of hers Margaret told him "Well of course that wouldn't be for my daughter. I can't have that given the time I spend exposed in the media. But for other women's daughters I think it's a great opportunity. The next hour it was Professor Emory Clayton who told Phil it's racist for a white man to hang a black effigy from his tree on halloween but it's not for a black man to hang a white one. The reason? All ghouls and goblins are white. "Dracula was a white man," says Professor Clayton.
In our first hour, Margaret Grey and Phil discussed an news item about a four year old boy who unwittingly shot his mother with a 12 gauge firing birdshot. The woman was okay but Margaret said the incident may not have been all that innocent. With millions of years of DNA and hormonal change working inside of them, a women's sons are  potential animals. Margaret never goes anywhere with Jason Jay Delmonico unless she's carrying mace or pepper spray and she damn sure never dresses provocatively! Dean Wheeler from the Northern California Holistic Center joined the program to talk about a federal court of appeals striking down an Arizona law requiring proof of citizenship from people before they can vote. Bravo, says Dean. Illegal immigrants are needed to vote since the legal American citizen is turning the country to warm crap with his vote. Yes, Dean says, he voted for Obama. But he made a mistake. He needs illegals to vote to balance out the lousy vote he's sure to cast next time as well.
It was a madhouse on the show tonight with Bobbie and Steve Dooley claiming they need foodstamps with the US credit rating tanking and the probability of a double-dip recession. But that wasn't what really bothered Bobbie. It was Steve trying to get control of the phone from her. Margaret Grey was put out by news that colonics are bad for ones health, not good, as Margaret and her friends Lee Majors and William Shatner believe. Frank, for his part, doesn't want any of these colonic people "within 500 feet of me. I don't want them anywhere near me even though I love my wife Margaret. He's great." Dr. Jim Sadler and Chris Norton came on the show....Sadler "soaking in a tub" and Norton at the dance club "One Foot" in Redondo Beach...to give their individual takes on feral donkeys being transported from Hawaii and sterilized. Chris is against it because if word gets out donkeys are being sterilized then every adult star that ever used the word "donkey" in their name....guys like 'The Donkey Express" and "Donk Don"... will be discredited and laughed at.

Ep. 278

Phil was on the Man School videocast, so we've got some Comedy Gold on the radio from February 27, 2001. Ted Bell opened the show to discuss his recent marital problems. He answered his cell phone while his wife was giving him oral sex. She got pissed off, but Ted feels that he has been clear: He's Ted Bell and the cell phone stays on for business. The second hour started with Margaret Grey at Mardi Gras. Margaret got caught up in the moment and flashed her enhanced boobs. A nine year old boy saw and his grandparents complained. Margaret pushed her "media credentials" in the hotel manager's face and got to stay. Doug Danger wrapped up the show to talk about Matthew Perry in rehab. Doug thinks that Matt is a spokesman for his generation, carries the show "Friends", and deserves to get a pass for his drug use. As a gay man, Doug knows what the pressure is like.
Phil introduced tonight a new in-studio contributor, Margaret Grey. Margaret will provide, according to Mr. Hendrie, a "journalists point of view, one decidedly liberal and intelligent." On the show tonight, however, Margaret immediately began arguing with Robert and Bud about microphone time and then tore into guests Bobbie Dooley and Larry Grover. At one point she began to cry and demanded to speak with her husband. At another point she put her hands around Bud's throat and almost "choked him out."

Show Log

Margaret Grey, whose column 'A Little Bird Told Me' appears in some 150 newspapers nationally, commented on the coverage of Whitney Houstons death, calling it sexist and defamatory. "Women are chained to a cinderblock of sexual submission and the minute they want to go out and grind their (whispered) asses into a man's crotch on the dance floor they're called 'crack 'ho's.' Then Margaret gave out one of her patented belches                                                  Filth
