Bud Dickman challenged the computing ability of Phil and Dr. Ron Tarner when he said that he does indeed spend four hours a day sitting on a toilet which Dr. Tarner figured meant three times an hour at five minutes a clip for 16 hours. Margaret Grey, nationally syndicated columnist, is on in a follow-up to her appearance earlier this summer where she claimed to be able to predict the number of traffic fatalities nationally during a given period. Margaret predicted 40,000 for the calendar year of 2009. There were 33,000. She tells Phil that it's Mothers Against Drunk Driving that holds the numbers down by whipping out the snot rag to impress the DOT so they get more funding. Meanwhile, her work with "serial drunk driver Buck Everett" goes unnoticed. Later in the program Dean Wheeler from the Northern California Holistic Center debated Phil on the merits of protesting the Ground Zero mosque as opposed to burning the Koran. Phil and his listeners seemed to agree that the sensitivities involved should be respected on both sides but Dean called Moslems who agreed "Uncle Mohammeds" and said that Arabs are more excitable so naturally they'll be violent if the Koran is burned. Americans have more self-control.
Larry Grover from Conservatives of Kern County joined us for a discussion of Brett Favre and the controversy surrounding him allegedly texting a picture of his penis to a young female reporter. Larry told Phil and his audience that texting pictures of penises is something everyman does and is expected to do by every woman. If you've shared a ride to work or a lunch or a few family photos with a man you've basically given him the high sign to send you a picture of his thing. Next up was Margaret Grey from the Dicklin Syndicate discussing Courtney Cox and David Arquette's seperation after 11 years of marriage. Since Cox is 7 years older than Arquette Margaret says they should be proud of the fact they lasted as long as they did. "After a few years a young man simply sees an old lady he has to hold up in traffic."
Tonight, Doug Dannger from the Orange County Courier reported to Phil that "according to my sources, Daniel Radcliffe, star of the Harry Potter movies, has been so disgusted with the whole 10 year experience, he exposed himself to the crowd at last nights premiere of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" As Doug told it using a badly edited piece of tape, Radcliffe told the crowd he was sick of them, said "shake hands with this," exposed himself and went into the theater. Margaret Grey, nationally syndicated columnist, joined Phil in his second hour to talk about humans and their relationship with dogs. Margaret is a big "Dog Whisperer" fan and told Phil's audience the Dog Whisperer says that letting a dog walk in front means you are allowing the dog to think it's the pack leader and you're "degrading the human race almost back to the jungle. For many of your callers Phil, the 'Dog Whisperer' is Michael Vick. Have a very pleasant and restful morning" Click.
