Ep. 500

Phil kicked the show off by saying Wiz Khalifa couldn't smoke near as much dope as he claims he does otherwise he wouldn't get any work done. Dope is fine but it can make you stupid. "Many of our fine, young hip-hop artists want the weed legalized even though they don't smoke near the amount they claim because that shit is "stupid-making." Phil also discussed the fine documentary "Nixon on Nixon" currently airing on HBO. Margaret was "shocked" to hear Nixon say the word "(mumbled) kike." The crew also reviewed the Emmy's with Jeff Dowdder and a befuddled and tired Doug Dannger. Seth Meyer laid an egg out there according to Phil and it was the fault, in his opinion, of an NBC executive at the top in order to promote the hell out of Meyers' late night show. Who is the NBC CEO? The crew didn't know until Margaret identified him as Bob Gardoon. Or Bob Gadoon. Episode 193 from The World of Phil Hendrie podcast.

Ep. 486

Phil is taking a quick trip up to America's hat (Canada), so we've cut together some "Best Of" clips for you to enjoy. The show started with the panel discussing the death penalty. Bill Cumming, or Brad Cummings (it changed within a few minutes), a friend of Margaret's and an ally of hers in her fight against the death penalty, runs into a problem with his last name because he is also a producer of adult films and his kids school wants to kick them out. When Phil mentions the problem with his kids, Bill (or Brad) has a full emotional break down including tears, sobs, snot and rage....and then of course hung up... Jeff Dowdder was at Cratered Park in either Nebraska or Texas riding the roller coaster Doom Hurdle. He sounded like he was going to die but afterward said it was just "okay." Don Parsley, the career conman who's been caught up in some of the most bizarre swindles in American history guested this morning with a tale of kindness to a stranger gone all wrong. The crew had been discussing the story of toys being taken from the grave-site of an infant and Don mentioned being involved in taking a car that had been the property of a heart attack victim. Parsley said there's a saying, "steal a car from a fat man and live seven years," and he was going on that although everyone was confused as to what that meant; live only seven years or live seven more years... And Bobbie closes the show discussing her annual Springtacular. Episode 184 from The World of Phil Hendrie podcast.

Ep. 475

Today's podcast had Jeff Dowdder attempting to explain the origins of American music while watching a freeway chase on TV and directing Toby Beau on what kind of bacon he wants for breakfast... Father James McQuarters talked about pre-destination and whether Phil's comfort level on stage means he was "destined" to be there rather than radio. The discussion then got around to the topic of "pa-GAN" worship... Episode 177 from The World of Phil Hendrie podcast.

Ep. 463

Margaret and Bud got into another dust up about where the claw from the alien egg in 'Alien' should have landed instead of on John Hurt's face. (Hint: Bud's crotch or one of Margaret's breasts) Pastor William Renneck joined the show to discuss his potential addition to the one-man show and his use of the song "Give It To Me Baby". Harvey Weirman came on to discuss the four panel members and how much more money they're going to need to do a Saturday show. Plus the General wants a personal assistant in case he can't get out of the bathroom because of a jammed door. Phil discussed having the blues every day at 4 PM and then played "Memory Pain" by Johnny Winter. Pastor William Rennick joined the program and reminisced about marrying Clara and dancing to Rick James' "Give it to me." Jeff Dowdder also guested... Ep. 454

Phil and the crew discussed the passing of blues legend Johnny Winter and played some of his music. General Shaw demonstrated what he thought "blues ukelele" would sound like and Jeff Dowdder checked in from Mr Poo's previewing a song called "Darkness at Sunrise Blues." Also other attendant bullshit... "Don't do it, Barnes. Don't do it. Ten years for killing an enlisted man. You'll be climbing the f****** walls!"--Platoon Episode 165 from The World of Phil Hendrie podcast.

Say friends, if you don't have a subscription to the Phil Hendrie website, a BSP as it were (either the all-access or audio-only) you're carving it up and not even leaving enough for the village. Ep. 446

More devil metal kicked off the show, more savage and impossible music began the show...with Margaret trying to be heard over it until she finally uttered the phrase "I shit you out..." Phil went into a history of the Phil Hendrie Show website, the various site redesigns and software changes...General Shaw talked about trying to listen to some media on the Phil site and how it sounded like a big mismatch of noise until "I was able to zero in on it. I said to Bud 'what was the garbage,' and Bud said 'it's the Phil Hendrie Show,' and I said 'oh okay.'" Bob Green came on the program to again defend Donald Sterling who called his wife Rochelle a "pig" in court during a hearing to determine Sterling's mental competence. Bob said Sterling was driven by Rochelle Sterling's meddling to go underground to look for women and had to settle for "this Stiviano like he was waiting in an alley for it, threw a few dollars its way and then went into a back room with a filthy mattress, held his nose and went ahead and did it." Jeff Dowdder came on the show to comment on Phil's website design. General Shaw wound up going through the phone and "dealing with Dowdder." Episode 160 from The World of Phil Hendrie podcast.
