Lloyd Bonafide kicked off the show to talk about his friend who got married over the last summer. Lloyd gave his friend a drill as a gift, and his friend's wife died a month later. Etiquette says to return gifts if you don't stay together for six months, so Lloyd wants his drill back. The second hour featured Bob Greene talking about the recent Survivor episode. Bob thinks that getting burned was tragic, but boy, was it great TV... He took one for the team. Phil wrapped up the final hour by taking calls from listeners. "You may now talk to me."
Bob Green joined us in the first hour as a designer of fashion wear for large women. Bob says that women are not full figured; they are enormous, which means there is an opportunity for some lucky guy. "We have mini skirts, bikkinis, and tight clothes, because fat women can dress just like skinny women." Phil called Katharine in the second hour for some cutesie-poo. A guy called from Chatsworth to tell Phil that he hates him for making the listeners sit through his self-inflating "family man" routine. He said that he can't have kids and that was like molesting him. Phil then ranted about fan letters and those who write them. "I'm more interesting than any song on the radio." Bobbie Dooley joined us to close the second hour and discuss the rolling blackouts in Southern California. She thinks that economically enhanced prototype communities need to be given power before the poorer communities. Clara Bingham wrapped up the show to discuss kids with ADD. She thinks that they need to be bound and gagged witha  blackboard eraser, a sock, some panties, whatever... It is called a sesnory redirection.
Bob Greene opened the show with a discussion about a recently outed FBI spy. Bob thinks the spy shouldn't be treated so badly because he had six kids to put through Catholic school and he needed money. The second hour started with Doug Danger. He wanted to let everyone know that he was a supporter of Eminem at least two weeks before Elton John. Phil closed the hour with a rant about The Grammys. Phil said that Eminem succeeds in rap because the white establishment is comfortable endorsing a white rapper. In 20 years rap will be predominately white, like rock 'n' roll. Danny Karafelian joined us in the third hour. He's a naturalist opposed to Survivor because it trivializes his lifestyle. He demands that it be taken off the air. Phil closed the show with a rant about some weird jungle cruise he took. He also talked about his Weight Watchers diet. And Combover Boy writing letters about him again.

Tonight Bob Green from Frazier Foods discussed with Phil his admiration for a woman that survived the tornado in Oklahoma City only to express to CNN's Wolf Bllitzer her atheism. Pastor Rennick came on later to take the believers point of view and immediately began criticising the woman's baby for grabbing Blitzers microphone and for "trying to mess up Cooper Anderson." David G. Hall lambasted Phil for taking part in a tasteless stunt when he was a young man. David meanwhile was teaching his girlfriend Daphne how to drive....while he himself was driving the car...

Frank Grey is drunk but that doesn't stop him weighing in on the defunct Soviet Union and its "patriarchy" of leaders heading into "downtown Moscow to a favorite beanery for some chili."

Ep. 389

Bob Green discussed Donald Sterling while his store is featuring a post-Easter Sale called "The Crucifixion Continues." Bob claims it has nothing to do with Sterling's on-going problems. It's about selling left-over Easter candy even though Phil and the panel point out that Easter was about resurrection, not crucifixion. Ted Bell, owner of Ted's of Beverly Hills steakhouse, told the audience about being at the Beverly Hills Hotel to protest the government of Brunei's ownership. Ted said Jay Leno led the assembled people in a protest cheer: "1-2-3 Brunei can shove it up their ass!" I said to Bud 'what was the garbage,' and Bud said 'it's the Phil Hendrie Show,' and I said 'oh okay.'" Bob Green came on the program to again defend Donald Sterling who called his wife Rochelle a "pig" in court during a hearing to determine Sterling's mental competence. Bob said Sterling was driven by Rochelle Sterling's meddling to go underground to look for women and had to settle for "this Stiviano like he was waiting in an alley for it, threw a few dollars its way and then went into a back room with a filthy mattress, held his nose and went ahead and did it." Jeff Dowdder came on the show to comment on Phil's website design. General Shaw wound up going through the phone and "dealing with Dowdder." Episode 160 from The World of Phil Hendrie podcast.
