Show Log

Tonight we welcomed on the show Ted Bell from Ted's of Beverly Hills to discuss charitable giving during the holidays. "Toys For Tots," says Ted is fine but he doesn't like to take "busted junk" and "crap you find in a vacant lot" to the collection centers. Ted buys new toys and when he shows up he holds the toy above his head and tells the other people there "See this? It's NEW" Ted says if there aren't people at the Toys For Tots bin yet he'll "circle the area and check it out with binoculars. Once I see people gathering I'll drive over." Next was former NFL defensive back Daryl Webber on to respond to New York Giant Antrel Rolle's remarks about booing fans. Rolle said that "fans shouldn't boo." And that football players are much like soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. Mr. Webber essentially agreed saying that "everytime I step onto a football field I run the risk of getting my head broke and having it flop around like a Raggedy-Ann doll." Plus Daryl says that football players run the risk of broken necks in front of 80,000 people whereas soldiers run the same risk but only in front of "wind and rocks."

Ep. 2115

Ted Bell and BSP Charley LeFountaine talk about the Tender Ted-loin
Tonight it's Doug Dannger, Gay man and Gay journalist who talks to Phil about a "Teacher of the Year" in Pennsylvania. She lied to her school district about having a brain tumour and took charity from people, extended time off and even a family trip to Disney World. Doug and Phil discuss the time Doug told his bosses at the Orange County Courier that he had AIDS and needed time off. It was a lie. Doug needed time off to finish a screenplay. The money people gave him he said he donated to "Gay Awareness." When Phil pressed him as to what "Gay Awareness" was Doug said he wouldn't be able to explain it to a straight guy. Next was Ted Bell who is bitter over the fact he missed the capping of the BP well and the resulting climb in the price of BP stock. Ted says he's made friends in the media for just this kind of inside info. "That's a lot of free steak dinners and a lot of free drinks," says Ted. "Someone bent me over and branded me with the word 'stupid.'
Tonight Ted Bell rejoined the show for our national audience, talking about the need for liberals like Rosie O'Donnell to be respected and to be heard. The Ted's of Beverly Hills Steakhouse is frequented by people like her, said Ted, and if she gets wind that he's sponsoring a "conservative" show like the Phil Hendrie Show it won't be too good for his business. No sir. Next hour an alleged "homeless special forces veteran" named Don Parsley called the show, at first, just to say congratulations to "fellow special forces guys" the Navy SEALs. But as the show went forward it became apparent Don was there for a lot more and the audience wasn't buying it.....again.
Professor Emory Clayton defended the Vancouver rioters saying the young people of Canada have nothing. "America is a UFC fighter and Canada is a hanging bag in the garage.." In fact, Professor Clayton led a student riot at LA Canyon College when they replaced the Ball Park Franks brand at the football stadium with Hebrew National. "We burned the concession stand down including the cotton candy." Ted Bell from Ted's of Beverly Hills tried to explain away his slapping of a child at the restuarant. "With all these Anthony Weiner jokes, I had gotten sick of it," said Ted. "When I thought I heard the kid say 'cornhole' I let loose." The kid actually said "corndog."
Ted Bell believes the consumer owes a little more to businesses that have shown themselves to be good and reliable in the past. Disney's movie "John Carter" looks like it's going to lose 160 million dollars. After a 5 million dollar opening Ted told Phil the movie goers of America didn't have the common decency to go out and buy a ticket to support a company that has been a de facto baby sitter for years. Ted feels the same way about his business. He makes great steaks. So why did "some broad" complain that his clams were "rancid."
Phil and Ted Bell get into it over whether promoting Ted's hoodies is tasetful "given recent events." Phil doesn't think so but Ted thinks it is because he isn't referencing just what he means by "recent events." Margaret Grey meanwhile comes on to sing to promote the hoodie sales, butchering versions of "You Wear It Well" and "You Can Leave Your Hat On." Bobbie Dooley comments on anti-fur activists "flour bombing" Kim Kardashian in West Hollywood Thursday night. Bobbie feels the Kardashians "are trying to teach us that we're smarter than animals so we can take what we need from them." Bobbiwe claims the only reason why women are opposed to Kim Kardashian is because she's beautiful. "Why don't they protest someone who's hard on the eyes like Barbara Walters."
