Ep. 389

Bob Green discussed Donald Sterling while his store is featuring a post-Easter Sale called "The Crucifixion Continues." Bob claims it has nothing to do with Sterling's on-going problems. It's about selling left-over Easter candy even though Phil and the panel point out that Easter was about resurrection, not crucifixion. Ted Bell, owner of Ted's of Beverly Hills steakhouse, told the audience about being at the Beverly Hills Hotel to protest the government of Brunei's ownership. Ted said Jay Leno led the assembled people in a protest cheer: "1-2-3 Brunei can shove it up their ass!" Jeff Dowdder was at Cratered Park in either Nebraska or Texas riding the roller coaster Doom Hurdle. He sounded like he was going to die but afterward said it was just "okay." Episode 116 from The World of Phil Hendrie podcast.

Ep. 1067

It's Tom Cattan and Jay Santos, who were at Phil's Improv show. Jay had a problem getting people to take him seriously. Tom was pitching his new "handful of grain for a handful of brain... and Vernon Dozier had had it with Phil's "world football" talk." Today's Classic Hour is from December, 2005. Ted Bell of Ted’s of Beverly Hills joins the show. He is upset because he was caught sleeping with fat women in the liquor closet. Ted thinks his wife is wrong and should not be upset with him.

Ep. 484

Harvey Weirman's Newsbreak got off to a shaky start. Then Ted Bell from Ted's of Beverly Hills is angry that someone dropped a note in the "Ted" suggestion box saying "monkeys have the mental capacity to cook." Jay Santos of the Citizens Auxiliary Police fills everyone in on a new auxiliary force in "the worlds largest meth lab," Alaska. It's the Igloo Community Eskimo Patrol. And Gloria Grover witnesses an Ed Elcott accident with a penis pump.

Ep. 1267

It was going to be Phil only but it became so intensely political, we put it behind the pay wall as the pre-show. Instead we’re moving the encore show up to today Monday. From October 2017, Phil and the crew welcome Pastor William Rennick who caused a disturbance at the Dodgers/Cubs game.
Normally Ted Bell doesn't like to interfere with the content of the show, but Phil talking about the expensive price of gas has caused a lot of problems for Ted Bell's business from March 2004.(0:31:49)

Ep. 967

Ted Bell of Ted's of Beverly Hills explains his drunkenness and his wife Marcy leaving him as a big misunderstanding. Deane Wheeler's Yogo positions, like turning one's head all the way around, gets people laughing at him.

Ep. 2178

More Ted Bell as we hear about Ted’s ongoing travails owning a restaurant during a pandemic.

The NBC "TONIGHT SHOW" host called HENDRIE out of the blue to profess his enjoyment of the show, and played along with HENDRIE by talking about stopping by the show's fictional "Ted's of Beverly Hills" steakhouse and meeting proprietor TED BELL, the HENDRIE character and "inventor" of foil-wrapped baked potatoes; "The Ted" which is a rum and coke on the rest of the planet; and composer of a catchy jingle quoted in the photo caption. "I went by his place and everything you said about him was correct," LENO said of "Bell."  HENDRIE responded, "I hope he hasn't had occasion to rough you up and throw you out of the Prime Rib Room as he did with BRAD PITT one night."  "No, no, no," said LENO, "but he's one of those testy guys, that everything is so touchy, you try to make a constructive criticism, but the guy goes crazy."
