Ep. 374

Dr. Jeff Dowdder of Cal Tech talks with Phil about a new law in California that will recycle human waste into drinking water. Just what can they do with your "baggie of doo"? The famous "kernel of corn" episode from April 2000.

Ep. 389

Bob Green discussed Donald Sterling while his store is featuring a post-Easter Sale called "The Crucifixion Continues." Bob claims it has nothing to do with Sterling's on-going problems. It's about selling left-over Easter candy even though Phil and the panel point out that Easter was about resurrection, not crucifixion. Ted Bell, owner of Ted's of Beverly Hills steakhouse, told the audience about being at the Beverly Hills Hotel to protest the government of Brunei's ownership. Ted said Jay Leno led the assembled people in a protest cheer: "1-2-3 Brunei can shove it up their ass!" Jeff Dowdder was at Cratered Park in either Nebraska or Texas riding the roller coaster Doom Hurdle. He sounded like he was going to die but afterward said it was just "okay." Episode 116 from The World of Phil Hendrie podcast.

Ep. 423

Phil and the crew kicked off talking about the Bee Gees' song "I Gotta Get A Message To You" and a version of it by The Soldiers which no one had heard except Phil. The suspicion around that melted into Margaret rummaging through her purse looking for a White Owl. Phil talked about his trip to Vegas and his visit with his cousins. He also gave some family history and ripped into Bud yet again for calling their home country "Cananada." Margaret remarked on how handsome a priest on TV was and the General chastised her for "wanting to hump the bones of a priest." Margaret asked Phil if he thought the man (whispering it) "was gay." Dr. Ed Elcott guested and recapped his appearance on the show last Friday. Jeff Dowdder was interviewed as to his knowledge of "Dr. Fredrickson's last moments." The doctor, one of the founders of Elcott-The Next Step, was thrown from a box car near the trestles at Jalama Beach north of Santa Barbara. Episode 142 from The World of Phil Hendrie podcast.

Ep. 435

On today's show Phil talked with the crew about his Catholic upbringing. Coach Dozier and Jeff Dowdder attempted to give their final World Cup report, but mostly talked about their balled up airline reservations. General Shaw talked about his family. His older brother Gene was a 1percent biker and the next oldest brother, Charles, was a wealthy salesman... The General also got into the specifics of his brother Gene's death. We won't go into it. Just listen. But it did have to do with flipping off a five year and running into a telephone pole...among other things... Episode 151 from The World of Phil Hendrie podcast.

Ep. 454

Phil and the crew discussed the passing of blues legend Johnny Winter and played some of his music. General Shaw demonstrated what he thought "blues ukelele" would sound like and Jeff Dowdder checked in from Mr Poo's previewing a song called "Darkness at Sunrise Blues." Also other attendant bullshit... "Don't do it, Barnes. Don't do it. Ten years for killing an enlisted man. You'll be climbing the f****** walls!"--Platoon Episode 165 from The World of Phil Hendrie podcast.

Ep. 463

Margaret and Bud got into another dust up about where the claw from the alien egg in 'Alien' should have landed instead of on John Hurt's face. (Hint: Bud's crotch or one of Margaret's breasts) Pastor William Renneck joined the show to discuss his potential addition to the one-man show and his use of the song "Give It To Me Baby". Harvey Weirman came on to discuss the four panel members and how much more money they're going to need to do a Saturday show. Plus the General wants a personal assistant in case he can't get out of the bathroom because of a jammed door. Phil discussed having the blues every day at 4 PM and then played "Memory Pain" by Johnny Winter. Pastor William Rennick joined the program and reminisced about marrying Clara and dancing to Rick James' "Give it to me." Jeff Dowdder also guested... Tomorrow, we draw for the winner of our VIP package to Phil's July 30 sold out Hollywood Improv show! Episode 170 from The World of Phil Hendrie podcast.

Ep. 475

Today's podcast had Jeff Dowdder attempting to explain the origins of American music while watching a freeway chase on TV and directing Toby Beau on what kind of bacon he wants for breakfast... Father James McQuarters talked about pre-destination and whether Phil's comfort level on stage means he was "destined" to be there rather than radio. The discussion then got around to the topic of "pa-GAN" worship... Episode 177 from The World of Phil Hendrie podcast.

Ep. 486

Phil is taking a quick trip up to America's hat (Canada), so we've cut together some "Best Of" clips for you to enjoy. The show started with the panel discussing the death penalty. Bill Cumming, or Brad Cummings (it changed within a few minutes), a friend of Margaret's and an ally of hers in her fight against the death penalty, runs into a problem with his last name because he is also a producer of adult films and his kids school wants to kick them out. When Phil mentions the problem with his kids, Bill (or Brad) has a full emotional break down including tears, sobs, snot and rage....and then of course hung up... Jeff Dowdder was at Cratered Park in either Nebraska or Texas riding the roller coaster Doom Hurdle. He sounded like he was going to die but afterward said it was just "okay." Don Parsley, the career conman who's been caught up in some of the most bizarre swindles in American history guested this morning with a tale of kindness to a stranger gone all wrong. The crew had been discussing the story of toys being taken from the grave-site of an infant and Don mentioned being involved in taking a car that had been the property of a heart attack victim. Parsley said there's a saying, "steal a car from a fat man and live seven years," and he was going on that although everyone was confused as to what that meant; live only seven years or live seven more years... And Bobbie closes the show discussing her annual Springtacular. Episode 184 from The World of Phil Hendrie podcast.

Ep. 500

Phil kicked the show off by saying Wiz Khalifa couldn't smoke near as much dope as he claims he does otherwise he wouldn't get any work done. Dope is fine but it can make you stupid. "Many of our fine, young hip-hop artists want the weed legalized even though they don't smoke near the amount they claim because that shit is "stupid-making." Phil also discussed the fine documentary "Nixon on Nixon" currently airing on HBO. Margaret was "shocked" to hear Nixon say the word "(mumbled) kike." The crew also reviewed the Emmy's with Jeff Dowdder and a befuddled and tired Doug Dannger. Seth Meyer laid an egg out there according to Phil and it was the fault, in his opinion, of an NBC executive at the top in order to promote the hell out of Meyers' late night show. Who is the NBC CEO? The crew didn't know until Margaret identified him as Bob Gardoon. Or Bob Gadoon. Episode 193 from The World of Phil Hendrie podcast.

Ep. 524

Whatever 3D printing is, Phil carved up the explanation in the first 40 minutes of the show today, much to the disgust of our panel. But in fact Jeff Dowdder didn't do much better. Don Berman returned to the show to heap accolades on one Kevin Conroy, the longtime animation voice of Batman, for volunteering to cook for the firefighters and rescuers at Ground Zero during 9/11...Don hung up on Phil at one point and Phil couldn't get him back on for awhile because no one in the channel 19 newsroom had ever heard of him... Dr. Ron Tarner discussed America's return to manned spaceflight, to be announced today at 1pm PDT, by bemoaning what he thinks is America's target: Venus. He wanted to go to Mars because he'd written a musical about it, "A Martian, Though I May Be." Episode 208 from The World of Phil Hendrie podcast.
