Monday, January 31, 2005 Hour 1: Bob Green, CEO of Frazier Foods, is on to talk about a train crash that happened as the result of a motorist attempting to suicide. The crash happened near a Costco, and many Costco workers came running out to aid the victims of the crash. Bob is upset by the resulting hours and hours of free publicity Costco received. While Bob wishes that a crash did not actually happen, he would rather it take place next to his store. Hour 2: Steve Bosell joins the program to discuss a lawsuit he filed against his wife. Steve got some etiquette tips from Modern Bride magazine, and his wife April Bosell mentioned this to Steve’s construction crew. One of Steve’s workers, Roy Hutchens, said, “that’s gay ass.” Flashback of Law Talk with Harvey Wireman, where Harvey is so senile, he cannot read a simple news story. Phil talks about hybrid cars. Hour 3: Phil comes under attack from Margaret Gray and David G. Hall over his political opinions. They argue that his support for George Bush and the Iraqi elections is putting him on the outs with Hollywood and ruining his chances of appearing on TV. Craig Hardy hosts the “News Overheard at a Bar” segment. Phil talks about Costco. Show log by Kyle Davis.

Friday, January 28, 2005 Hour 1: Tonight is an all request show, featuring bits from Austin Amarka, Bobbie Dooley, Raj Fahneen, Ted Bell, with special appearances by Hal and Viola, RC Collins, and Bud Dickman! Hour 2: The all request show continues, with classic bits from Vernon Dozier, Art Bell and General Johnson Jamison, Lloyd Bonifide, Margaret Gray, and Ted Bell. Bud calls and insists on playing the bit where he farts, and a special request from Charlie the Complainer: to speak to Lowry Mays! Hour 3: Hour three of the all request show kicks off with Vernon Dozier and “Plane go Boom.” This hour also features bits from Herb Sewell, Doug Dannger, Margaret Gray, Bobbie Dooley, Paul McNamara, and capping off the show with Margaret Gray, David G. Thursday, January 27, 2005 Hour 1: Margaret Gray is on to discuss her book about the human shield in Iraq. She believes she could be in line for a Pulitzer Prize for her work, but first she must confirm the identity of the soldier who said, “After I killed my tenth child, I stopped counting.” Phil plays a flashback of the Siamese twins, where one is gay and the other is straight. Charlie the Complainer has to check in over the content of tonight’s program; he ends his call with a belch. Phil brings back Margaret after an abrupt end to her conversation; she sings “Where have all the Flowers gone?” and Phil orders an air strike. The hour ends with Jesus Christ Cab Driver. Hour 2: Jeff Dowder joins the program to promote a benefit concert that his band Dark Horse is playing, followed by a drumming clinic led by him. Phil does a strange bit about coming to Carnival in Brazil, and the voice over guy makes unacceptable ad-libs. Phil talks about Amazon women. Jim Sadler calls in to explain that he AIDS epidemic was caused by Tarzan and spread through the other characters. Hour 3: Phil starts the third hour with a rant about his drive into work. Harvey Wireman Senior Talk asks the question what do you do when you realize you’ve been driving a body under your car. Wednesday, January 26, 2005 Hour 1: Show starts with Rick Monday announcing Dodger Baseball, and Rick goes on a shooting rampage. Charlie the Complainer calls… again. Hal and Viola check in to reassure Phil that he’s doing a good job, and offer to fly him to Tucson. Phil welcomes William Rueflow from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to discuss the Oscar nominations. Phil is curious why the Passion of the Christ was snubbed for a nomination. William acknowledges the excellence of such films as Dodgeball, Catwoman, and Shrek 2. Phil and Bud argue about Bud’s Babe of the Week. Phil rants about jail. Hour 2: Raj Fahneen is the guest on the second hour to talk about immigration awareness and the citizenship process in America. Raj claims that natural born American citizens could not answer the questions on the test, and argues that the test should be about things Americans know – fast food! Phil plays a flashback request of the car wash turned into a tsunami thrill ride. Raj concludes the hour with a rendition of “Saw an American.” Hour 3: Tony Neal comes on the program to discuss his latest venture: producing pornographic internet sites. The catch, the sites all have common key words that are searched by children. David G. Hall calls to yell at Phil for his Racist Little Rascals bit, and that he did not talk about Tony Neal’s book Every Day Sucker. Phil comments on his bumper music and reads some email. Tuesday, January 25, 2005 Hour 1: Lancen Odell, Bud’s black friend and NFL player, is in studio again. Phil argues with Bud over Bud’s dislike for black people. Phil plays a classic flashback of Jeff Dowder reporting on jackrabbit populations causing fires in dry forest areas. Turns out Jeff’s friend Toby Bo was either in the middle of a forest fire, or he cooked up the whole story while on acid! Charlie the Complainer calls in to bitch about Phil’s radio show; Bud pretends to be Mark Mays. Phil rants about his bad back and cats. Hour 2: Steve Bosell is on to discuss his reverse racism suit against William Raymond Bosell, a black man and business associate of Steve’s. Steve believes that he and William Bosell may be related, and even Steve’s family may have owned the descendants of William back in the slave trading days. Steve invited William to a family reunion and William did not show up. This is reason enough to sue his ass. David G. Hall comes to Steve’s defense. Hour 3: Phil comments on the news. Rudy Canoza, owner of Je Taime lingerie, hosts Rudy’s Love Songs. Jeff Dowder joins the program for Hypothetical America. Today Jeff explores what it would be like if we didn’t have the moon. Phil rants about terrestrial versus satellite radio, TV, and the FCC. Bababooey! Show closes out with Phil talking about bumper music, and then lets out a blood-curdling scream. Monday, January 24, 2005 Hour 1: Ted Bell from Ted’s of Beverly Hills Steakhouse joins the program to promote his dining etiquette classes. Phil tries to give one of these classes away on air, but Ted stops him due to his nervousness over letting Phil’s listeners into his restaurant. He thinks the talk radio listener is a lower class citizen, and before they can take his etiquette class, they need a remedial class on hygiene, including washing their hands after they use the toilet. Towards the end of the segment, a German woman calls in disgust; this causes Ted Bell to yodel! Show flashback of Lloyd Bonifide describing his hatred of French Poodles, and he tries to kill himself with an electric can opener. Hour 2: Margaret Gray is the guest for the hour. She explains that it is risky to rent property to single mothers. Margaret believes it is legitimate, as a landlord, to ask the question if all the children come from the same father, and worry if the woman has a lot of male callers coming to the home. Hour 3: Doug Dannger, writer for the Orange County Courier, is the guest in the third hour. Doug is a gay man and gay journalist, and he is writing an article about the Great American Smoke-out. As part of his investigation, he is going to out in public places and smoking to see how people react. He says because he is gay, nobody will have the temerity to go eyeball to eyeball with him and tell him to put out his cigarette. Show log by Kyle Davis.

Friday, January 21, 2005 Hour 1: Herb Sewell, author of the book ‘The Bush Legacy’, calls in to discuss President Bush. Herb describes the President as more of a jokester and sophomoric man, anything but the devout Christian that he portrays himself to be. Herb sites examples of Bush throwing fake dog poo on the floor of the war room, telling dead baby jokes, and laughing uncontrollably. Phil plays a flashback request of David G. Hall making a commentary on binge drinking. Hour 2: Lloyd Bonifide joins the program to complain about a woman who cut him off in traffic. Lloyd responded by throwing a Coke bottle at the woman and flipping her the bone. He says there is nothing she will do about it because she is a woman, and rejects the idea that his behavior is road rage. Phil talks about the type of woman who enjoys his show. Bud has his black friend join the broadcast. Hour 3: “My Grandpa Says” with Logan kicks off the third hour. Lancen Odell, Bud’s black friend and NFL player, comes back into the studio. He talks with Phil and Bud, and starts playing with Phil’s button bar. The Phil Hendrie Show Presents Scared Straight: McDonald’s Edition. Bob Bakian reports on the resignation of Michael Powell. David G. Hall berates Bakain over repeating material, and then orders him to fly until the chopper runs out of fuel and crashes. A listener letter inspires Phil to do Tequila Talk. Wednesday, January 19, 2005 Hour 1: The Origin of Words with Dr. Bernard Walker explores the origin of the word “inauguration.” Phil reads email critical of the previous night’s show, and then gets into it with David G. Hall. Phil plays the wrong flashback request, but it’s a good one: Bob Green is upset with people in wheelchairs getting concourse seats at the Lakers game. Earl Pants Car Talk investigates if your parents are too old to be driving. Jeff Dowder calls in to tell Phil that the reason for the swells hitting Los Angeles is due to the rising popularity of cliff diving in Japan. Hal and Viola check in on their way to Laughlin. RC Collins asks Phil about fashion designer Edith Head. Hour 2: Margaret Gray reports from Washington DC. Margaret was very pro-John Kerry during the presidential campaign in her column, and she claims that she should be allowed to carry a handgun to protect her from being sexually assaulted by Bush supporters. Hour 3: Dean Wheeler calls in from a couple’s retreat. He wants a bill sent to congress permitting Kerry supporters exempt from taxes, so they have more money for counseling and other doctor visits as the result of health abnormalities stemming from Bush winning the election. Tuesday, January 18, 2005 Hour 1: Father James McQuarters is the guest on the Phil Hendrie Show, trying to answer the question “why does God make things happen?” He says that the tsunami was not a disaster, but God’s baptism to the people of Thailand. Hour 2: Jeff Dowder chimes in and takes Phil’s listeners on an emotional roller-coaster during his tale of hitting a skunk and getting his car covered in “skunk stank.” Phil describes a story of running into a skunk as a teenager. Flashback request of Steve Bosell running out onto the dance floor and doing fan kicks to “I Will Survive.” Bible Bill Van Boning hosts Bible Passages. Hour 3: Phil opens the hour talking about marriage and his dedication to making his relationship work. After a bit about an office party with a karaoke machine that gets hostile, Phil rants for the rest of the hour. Show log by Kyle Davis.
